Take a few moments, perhaps first thing in the morning or before bed, to sit quietly. There is no need to control thoughts or suppress feelings—let them be as they are. Instead of focusing on the content of your experience, simply turn your attention inward. Notice the awareness that is present in all experiences.
*Ask yourself:*
Is this awareness located somewhere? Does it move or change? Does it have a boundary, a beginning, or an end?
By exploring these questions, we begin to align with the truth of our being. We see that awareness and the ‘I am’ are not bound by the limitations of the mind or body. They are open, spacious, and unchanging—a presence that simply is.
This realization is illuminating. It strips away the layers of identification—”I am this” or “I am that”—leaving behind the naked essence of being. In this nakedness, we find a lightness, a transparency that reveals the true nature of who we are.
In this simplicity, there is peace. In this openness, there is freedom. And in this awareness, there is the light of being itself.
